Applicants must be local or regional authorities in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country (except Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Sweden, and Estonia). They must:

• Have jurisdiction over a natural lake or its catchment and be responsible for restoration activities.
• Identify a specific lake or catchment for FERRO solutions.
• Demonstrate previous restoration experience, especially where past measures had limited success.
• Ensure the lake is suitable for remote sensing (≥ 0.5 km² preferred, but smaller lakes encouraged for inclusiveness).
• Confirm the site has not received overlapping Horizon Europe funding (only one grant per lake/catchment).

Proposals will be evaluated according to the criteria set out in the Guidelines for Applicants.
