The 10th International Phosphorus Workshop (IPW10) was held between 26-30 August 2024 at the University of Dundee in Dundee, Scotland. The IPW series promotes the underpinning biogeochemical knowledge of phosphorus processes and its wider implications.
The IPW10 recognises the fundamental role of catchments as a landscape conceptual unit, and a management unit, where phosphorus biogeochemistry unites with wider disciplines for shared sustainability goals.
The conference had 16 session topics spread across three main themes: “Understanding P”, “Managing P” and “Transforming P”.
FERRO project was presented by the project coordinator Tallen Dadi during Theme 3, Session 14: “Towards circular frameworks for P recovery and reuse in catchments”. The presentation, titled Fostering European Lakes Restoration by Nutrient Removal, Recovery, and Reuse: Integrated Catchment and In-Lake Scale Approach (FERRO), was well received, with many scientists eager to see the project's outcomes.
